  • Overview

    The Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing homeowners’ association (“HOA”) information for over
    16,000 homes that FirstKey Homes, LLC manages, ensuring each property has accurate HOA information and
    submitting timely payments for HOA fees.


     Files HOA fee requests in a timely manner.
     Reviews covenants, conditions and restrictions for HOA requirements and fees.
     Creates and revises internal policies and procedures regarding the process of identifying and
    maintaining record of HOA requirements and timely payment of fees.
     Communicates HOA trends with Executive Management.
     Coordinates with HOAs to obtain association information and updated invoices.
     Approves invoices through payment applications.
     Maintains Microsoft Excel spreadsheets with HOA information for tracking purposes.
     Maintains information in various software programs that track HOA information.
     Works with various other internal teams to ensure HOA information is accurate.
     Ensures compliance with organization policies and government regulations.

     A bachelor’s degree is required.
     Accounting background preferred.
     Proficient in multiple competencies relevant to the job.



     Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
     Excellent communication skills and ability to work with other internal teams and external parties.
     Attention to detail.
     Ability to remain organized with various streams of information.
     Ability to work independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.


     Ability to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of cubicle, open office or private office.
     May sit for several hours at a time.
     Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
     Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
     Subject to normal office noise levels.
