Inventory Control Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Inventory Control Specialist is to manage and control all aspects of online inventory. The team member will coordinate the execution of marketing practices throughout the company. The Inventory Control Specialist will assist the Vice President of Marketing with monitoring inventory through Rent Café, Internet Listing Sites and the corporate website.


  • Work to identify gaps in home onboarding.
  • Manage inventory on Rent Café, website, ILS sites and self-showing technology, and Rently.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reporting to be distributed to the VP of Marketing, Operation Leads and Market Managers.
  • Work with market teams to uphold corporate brand standards, home descriptions, and photography.
  • Maintain awareness of all available homes with the Daily Availability Report.
  • Work directly with Market Teams to ensure their markets comply with marketing policies.
  • Assist in the gathering and onboarding of digital assets for homes into various platforms including Rent Café, Rently and website CMS.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Promote and ensure that FirstKey Homes is represented in a professional and friendly manner.

  • Associate degree in sales, marketing, or business administration or equivalent number of years of related experience.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate with clients and coworkers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Working experience using Adobe Photoshop a plus
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems
  • Yardi (Rent Café) experience a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute plans accordingly.
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to learn a specialized software a must.
  • Ability to learn and comply with industry legal fair housing requirements.
  • Must show enthusiasm and have a passion for driving results.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with local market staff to ensure good communication.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must possess outstanding presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.


  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting from floor not to exceed 20 lbs.
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer usage.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers
