Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will work under the supervision of the Director of FP&A. This role is crucial to the consolidated reporting priorities of the FP&A team.  He / she will assist with preparation of annual operating plans, financial forecasts, long term corporate model and board / investor presentations.  This position will partner with the individual departments to increase their effectiveness of managing within their budget(s). 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

 

  • Assist with the Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly Forecast and monthly rolling forecast processes.
  • Develop budget templates for individual departments, work with business partners to create budgets and prepare monthly actual to budget variance reports. Coordinate the annual budget process and periodic forecasting.
  • Work closely with departments to understand variance and provide explanations to the executive team. Research, analyze and help explain any variances to forecast.
  • Assist with the preparation of investor and board presentations
  • Analyze and understand the data needs of the department to generate needed financial and operating reports and develop a data warehouse. Find, address and fix data integrity issues across multiple databases.
  • Coordinate and work with accounting during the monthly close process
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Finance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage, analyze and parse large quantities of data to find relevant information for use by multiple levels of management
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
  • Experienced in working with various departments in meeting needs and deadline
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work independently and be detail oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met. Confidence to work well under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Strong excel skills including extensive experience with vlookups, logic formulas, pivot tables, complex nested formula’s, macro experience a plus
  • Strong PowerPoint skills required

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Sedentary, sitting, walking, occasional lifting from floor not to exceed 20 lbs.
  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer usage.
  • Deadline driven role that can potentially be stressful at times (cardiovascular)
